What is the duration and best strategy to implement the Global Citizenship Course?
The Global Citizenship Schools initiative has a mandatory engagement of approximately two months for each cohort, and learners have about six weeks to finish the course. The Global Citizenship course is self-paced and interactive, and the average time needed to complete the course is 14 to 16 hours, spread across 6 weeks.
Week 1: Register and Access to the Course
After the School receives the Cohort Access Code, the learners shall use the code while registering on UNESCO MGIEP’s platform that hosts the self-paced digital Global Citizenship course for learners.
Week 2: Pre- Assessment
To get an insight into where the students are with regards to the core themes of the course, learners will take an assessment before starting the course.
Week 3: Module Experience
Students participate in the Global Citizenship course and experience the thematic areas of each module. The average time to complete all six modules course is 13-16 hours over a period of six weeks.
Week 4: Post Assessment
To get an insight into where the students are in terms of the themes after taking the course, learners will take an assessment after doing the course.
Week 5: Certificate
Students can generate the certificate from the UNESCO MGIEP when they complete all activities of the course.
